Hey, usavet, Thanks for reading! I like chocolate as much as the next person. Carrots -- not so much. Your suggestion, while certainly healthier, might not be well-received unless your 'honey' is a rabbit. You could do something similar with non-dipped strawberries, which are gorgeous and sort of shaped like hearts to begin with. Or choose some really good chocolate (when you don't eat it every day, you can indulge in the good stuff!) and enjoy it in moderation. That's just my 2 cents.
All of the events are free. (Now how often do you hear that??)
I saw that episode!
But I do want to read this book.
Quinoa, by the way, is thought of as a whole grain, and you can find it in grocery stores with other whole grains. But it is actually the fruit of a plant from the same family as beets.
It contains more protein than most grains, and a more evenly balanced array of amino acids. It's also higher in minerals (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, copper, zince and iron) than many grains.
It's an excellent substitute for rice.
