I'm the health & fitness editor for The (Syracuse) Post-Standard. I'm a black belt in karate who enjoys yoga and running, and I'm a life member of Weight Watchers. My husband and I have three kids, who stay active with baseball, soccer and basketball. Though I am an enthusiastic Central New Yorker (who appreciates all four of our distinct seasons) I am a native and intensely proud Texan. (Go Cowboys!)

Runners tied bells to their running shoes Sunday, Nov. 22 for the annual 5K Jingle Bell Run at Long Branch Park in Liverpool.
