Again, I think the definition of the term comes into play here. Think about how many of the most heinous crimes have committed out of someone's interpretation of "love". And in the case of the enabler-addict relationship, it's entirely possible to "love" someone to death. All in all, I still hate politics. Although, I'm sure that in some freaky parallel universe, there's some weirdo who loves it.
How do you define hate and love? For that matter, how do you define up and down? I suppose if it's all relevant (relative?), my love could be another man's hate... or my down could be some dude in China's up (?!?!). Rats, I have a headache now >:(
Same thing almost happened to the previous owners of my house. They were unaware of the large 19th century cistern directly under the side porch until a section of the vaulted brick roof gave way. Fortunately, nobody was standing over the section that collapsed, and it's now covered with a large steel plate until it can be repaired. (It's a work of art, has history, and it seems a pity not to put it back in use.)

Huh, tensions are rising in Europe. Maybe they'll start fighting like they did in 1914 and 1939. Europeans haven't had a good world war in quite a while. Wouldn't it be ironic if the institution that was intended to prevent any further European wars -- the European Union -- became the catalyst for another European war?

It seems the debt has always been a partisan football with the minority party denouncing it, and the majority party spinning it off as some sort of necessary evil. I don't care who you are, Liberal, Conservative, Democrat, Republican, something in between, or on the fringe... this debt will come back and bit us all in the rear. Perhaps it's time to get past the finger pointing and partisan games, and open a serious and honest dialogue on what we are going to do about this very real threat to our way of life, our future, and our national security.
