I use half of a coconut shell. Just drill some holes in the bottom and use automatic drip filter. With some fresh ground, hopefully fresh roasted beans you have a very nice, rounded cuppa. Cheers!

Ms Buerkle will not be reelected. She's way too off to the right for this district. or whatever district is left for her after the lines are redrawn.

Does anyone else miss the old Festival of Nations? I mean back when it was in the War Memorial. It really opened my eyes to different foods and musics. I still remember the Dosa, the Cuban coffee, and the wonderful playing of a Chinese woman who played a type of folk fiddle. OK, we have more of the separate 'ethnic' fairs in the summer; the Macedonian being my favorite. But the FON really helped me through the long winters.

I'Ve seen worse drug pads. Prettier with snow around it.

Onondaga is way too moderate for Ms. Buerkle. If the district had stayed Dem, we would have kept the seat? Oy.
Re: 'baby killing cracker': it would be nice to see a political discussion without name calling. You can still make it snappy without being crass.

Chef,
You can make this dish with some fish that is not endangered can't you? Thanks!

These are Asian elephants, I believe, not African. I wouldn't want to be stuck in a zoo in Syracuse, brrrr.
I don't know if these particular animals are endangered, but what's the use of studying a any species in a cage, far from it's native habitat?
Sorry, I never got the point of zoos.

This board has been in forever, often unopposed. It's past time for new blood.

I am far from being in the upper class and I attend the Symphony whenever I can. If the ticket prices rise my family and I would be unable to go. My love of classical music comes directly from a free concert the SSO gave at my High School. Deep in my soul I can still feel the Mozart that was played. I can't imagine the hole that SSO would leave in our town if it should be lost.

I am also lower middle working class and I go to the Symphony whenever I can. If the ticket prices are raised my family will not be able to attend. Where did my love of classical music come from? A free Syracuse Symphony concert at Onondaga Central. Deep in my soul, I still remember the Mozart that was played. I can't imagine the whole in our community that the loss of the SSO would leave.

Brilliant idea. I'll get up and dressed and run after a stupid, drunk, unregistered snowmobiler at 2:00 am and ask him to put a stock muffler on.

Absent a defining war, how do you define where a Generation begins and ends. Was this Generation better than the one in Europe wiped out by WWI, or in our Civil War? Are we just talking about men? What about the folks who fought for civil rights, or women's right to vote? Which selfish generation that followed are we talking about? The Greasers in the Fifties?
Thank you Mr Mouser for your service.

Shall we bring back the Age of Sail too, irad8?

Back on topic; this means a complete remodel/refiguration of the building? My Chiro, Uro, and GP are in Harrison Center. I also use radiology. Anybody with more info?

It's been a nice place. Sometimes a door gets opened for you and the fish sandwiches are good. The Pharmacy is convenient to the neighborhood. I hope somethings stay the same.

I was in OfficeMax then. We came out of the lot and into the turn lane on Erie when a Dewitt Police SUV came out of the the car wash, across 3 lanes and turned down the median back to Kmart, lights flashing. I hope they catch those creeps.

Thank you for this wonderful story today. Haters, please stay away for one day, for one story. Best of luck to the family. Love to see followups!

This should be a professional position. Take it out of the patronage system. Cap should do time.

I don't hunt so sorry if this is a dumb question: is it then illegal to carry a flashlight? What if you need one to get yourself and/or your kill back to the truck?

As a type 1 diabetic: bless you!

SOunds like a must read. Thanks for the interview.

Saying someone doesn't care about someone's views, meaning 'I won't bother reading your BS,' doesn't mean you are advocating censorship. Please get off your high horse.

I agree that the Bento boxes might not be the way to go. I enjoy the other parts of the Han Empire. Nice start to the new reviews. Try the Hot Pot at China Road, Denise!

It's amazing that folks can't stay on topic and keep to minimum posting guidelines for decency on a story on SNOW.
I hope the lake effect machine lets up a little. I've got a wife who has to get to the airport and my 93 year old Dad needs to get to his doctor today.

Thank you, Elizabeth for fighting for health care for all. Let's leave the rest in peace. Think of her children: 10 and 12, I think.

Hey, genocide, what a cool idea. A inquisition for a New Age! Who can't love that?

I think every other student or resident I meet there is South Asian. Most, if not all, have been wonderful, but I wonder how that pipeline got started. Do most go back to their home countries or stay on here?

Congratulations David. Great article!

Thanks for a great piece on a family that is trying to cope, raise their kids well, and make a difference. It won't stop the posters here but I don't know that anything would. Kudos to the McGriffs.

Nice piece. It would make a fine addition to the Everson's collection.

Thank you Mr. Baker for a very well written and disturbing article.

Thank you Editors. Sometimes the comments are more depressing than the crime itself. My heart goes out to the family and the heroes who live and work in the community.
