Syracuse University trustees approve tuition hike

Syracuse University students will be paying 3.6 percent more for their education in 2012-2013. This afternoon, SU trustees approved the tuition increase at their board meeting. Total tuition for the 2012-2013 school year will be $37,610. That doesn’t include books, room, board, transportation or other expenses. That total is about $55,600. Hundreds attend I-81 open house

Hundreds of people came to an open house at the Oncenter today to learn more about the future of Interstate 81 in Syracuse. The Emerald Ash Borer, a beetle that’s infested ash populations in 15 states and two Canadian provinces, has for the first time been spotted in New York east of the Hudson River. Sign up online to be an organ donor

New Yorkers can now register online to become organ donors. The state departments of health and motor vehicles announced the new sign-up process this week, two years after the law was signed to put the registry online.
