But think of all the money you're saving on punctuation! Seriously (sort of) most of you people should put down the keyboard & go outside.
I agree! What about that player from Cazenovia that is in the news? He is heading to Maryland. Syracuse didn't take a good look at him?
"The intersection is considered the busiest intersection in the city, Connellan said. It also is considered a safe place, he said."
What's Connellan been drinking..it's FAR from safe
darkchyld98, thank you for sharing your bullying experiences and why you believe parents play an important role in helping to curb the problem. There are different approaches being taken around the country and in West Michigan districts to help the problem. I think different things will resonate with different children. Nothing can be one-size-fits-all when it comes to children.
As I am sure you know, gay students are not the only ones that get bullied. Everyone has a right to their own opinion but studies have consistently identified multiple reasons for bullying. Singling out Christian churches does not seem fair. I would like to return to my original question about what is the most effective approach to curbing the problem.
What do you remember about your experience at Central High School?
Do you think this initiative is the right approach to tackling bullying?
Is there a community partnership you think has been particularly effective at helping a local school?
Are you interested in attending this event? Why or Why not?
Are you concerned about student athletes academics and their academic successes?
If you had a 10-12 year old son/daughter who could act really good and Hollywood wanted them to do a movie would you let them or would you say naw (s)he's too young to become professional actor? I'm gonna let him/her go to college first and get some training and maturity then I'll let them go for it :/' Just sayin'..
Thanks what about us, I was notified earlier about missing Jenison and updated the post. Whrharris that's good insight about the disadvantaged students. U.S. News & World Report did take into account the test scores of disadvantaged students. But your point about City is clear. We only referenced the Kent and Ottawa schools in the top 25 Kent with the link for people to look at all the state rankings.
What do you need from your child's school to feel they are getting a well-rounded education?
Thank you cmb29 for your insight. I think more and more we are seeing efforts focused on strengthing the family to improve the plight of the child for several of the reasons you sight. Parental involvement is usually a factor in schools seen as successful. Mojoe1, yes, I expect for certain schools such as City to get these type of results.
Thank you jrwquattro for that background about how City students this spring could rise even higher in the ranks. Last night, the school board said it would work with the arts community to explore an IB program at the elementary level.
