Poorly argued points by both columnists....... I'm against it........ And I'm against starting the season Oct 1st. You want to increase participation by youth then reduce licensing fees so dad or mom can afford to escort junior to the field. That will never happen though.... Sportsmanship fees are lumped into a general fund that helps run other entity's like state parks, etc... It's our money..... Keep it in our fund.. The avg person that enjoys highland park a dollar per car has no clue that sportsmen are the reason he or she have affordable access....

If the black community, especially the younger black community, wants to improve the quality of life for themselves and future generations then they need to change their strategies. Candle-light vigils, and hoodie marches are not going to cut it. Its time to roll up your sleeves and solve your problems as a community. Stop pointing the finger and teaching your children to do the same. Don't go on the hoodie march.....instead stay home and work on your math and english assignment. Its not okay to not go to class. Its not okay to die before your 30 years of age. Where is the outrage for all of the black on black crime that dominates the factual statistics. Don't go on the hoodie march.....do your homework. Its not okay......somebody needs to tell you that its not okay.

If you want to better your community, your population, or yourself.....then you have to get an education.....but guess what...it takes time and work!! Nobody is going to hand it to you or make excuses for you..... If you don't go to class... its on you.... I don't care if your daddy is in jail and your mother is a drug addict..... its on you. Personal accountability is all but lost.... we saw it with the housing crash, where program after program was rolled out to help bail out irresponsible morons. As a teacher.....if Bobby Davis came to me with those allegations....I would have to notify the authorities immediately.....or I would face criminal prosecution...as I should. But the Post Standard....can say....things like 'not enough corroboration' etc......who is more powerful?.....a teacher or a major news outlet in the city.....?
