When I see statements such as
what Mr Dadey uttered
“Why would somebody want to run against Joanie?” said Dadey.
“She’s very popular, and she’s doing a great job.”
~~~~~I shudder
I see - why not she is the CHOSEN ONE of the
Party. Really Mr Dadey, your comments
Are laughable at best, AND why is she
Popular because she is the CHOSEN ONE
OR because she has appeared on the
Jim Reith radio program
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - -
I am quite ambivalent toward her as I don’t really see
A “great” job being done. I am disgusted with the behavior
And actions from all levels of our government, whether it is
local, city, state etc..etc...
I am glad I do not vote for the Dems Or Reps , for I've stressed
many times on these boards that we must wean ourselves
from concept of the two political parties (Democrats &
Repubs) and start thinking of a solid third AND fourth
party. It is apparent that many if not close to 95% of
these elected officials are just in it for the "ride",
namely to feed their egos and enhance their political
image.
Of course , here is an excellent case in point
Joanie Mahoney; what is displayed is a woman whose
father was a staunch Republican yet she is now
"playing" up to incoming Gov Cuomo. I did'nt
vote for her, yet this type of manuevering between
parties has occurred many times, at the sake of
dampening the trust Republican voters had for her
in helping our County and its people have a
better life. I'm just baffled how people
dont see her and others such as her simply as
"political operators" who are looking for the next
rung on the ladder to Ms SuperEgos political Success.
I don't want government corruption. Our rights are violated by it and
strenghthened when its' exposed.
Of course, after Sweden has their way with him........
I sometimes agree with your point-of-view slim, I advocate having
a strong national defense for our country and ensuring that
we have the capability to defend this country against any
past or present foe. Yet after spending (possibly wasting) some
of my free time with this Assange case - I believe it's difficult at this
particular time to render this Assange as some master spy.
First of all, the facts although skimpy at best don't portray
the man as being associated with a country of suspicious origins.
Secondly, he has had a web site that freely encouraged people
to make donations in support of this movement for lack of better
terms. I would remind you that for Ron Paul campaigns people
also donated money, for political office, so I'm not sure
if it qualifies Assange as a person of interest in money
laundering.
Furthermore, we just had a bunch of Russian spies that were
discovered recently, yet I don't here Pelosi or Lieberman
making continuous speeches in critizing Putin/Medvedev for
those planted specialists. Yet our politicians have appeared
on TV , especially Mr. Holder of Obama's cabinet and have
strenuously attacked Assange , yet no harsh words we levied
against the Russians. Quite puzzling wouldn't you agree?
Bin Laden & his group were a terrorist organization.
Cicerwhowhatwhere just check around websites and you will
determine that WkiLeaks is not found on terrorist lists
such as PLO, IRA etc..etc are
Upon my recent visits to news websites re: Assange & WkiLeaks
I've noticed that political pundits, journalists, and politicians
calling Assange as a dangerous person. I realize the seriousness
of the charges YET i thought with these un-ending wars we are
having I thought Bin Laden was are main concern.
Safe to assume things are going to get really ugly with this
Assange and his leaks, I am hopeful that our officials in
Washington do not propose any knee-jerk legislations to curtail
more of our freedoms as have been specified in our
Constitution
While I believe Obama had a chance to right the sinking ship, its probably too
late. Also, my take is that it does'nt matter as far as placing blame - -
both parties a re complicit in this sad situation
What a refreshingly wonderful start.....how about extending that concept to the Legislative Affairs, the Governor's Office, the Offices of Court Administration, the State Pension Plans, the numerous Authorities and Agencies within State Government Control and 'oversight'????
Perhaps the investigation and outing of cultural graft and corruption at all levels of Government will reduce State Budgets, State Taxes, State Deficits, and return these institutions to the People where they belong.
.....how about extending that concept to the Legislative Affairs..etc..etc
Nice joke? seriously I agree with you but in this time frame of our economy
its NOT going to happen
........investigation and outing of cultural graft and corruption at all levels of Government
I ve been pushing this idea to many people I work with present/past, as well as neighbors
- - the system is rotten to a core. As I have pointed out many times on these boards
BOTH parties DEMO-PUBLICAN need to be cleaned out completely. Frankly many on these
forums simply indicate its a question of voting a Rep or a DEm, this of course illustrates the fact
that many citizens here do not realize that occurences of these type are not because of party
affiliation. Both parties do it on a large scale and it needs to stop, if a 3rd party steps in to
take care of this problem then it is something we should applaud.
COOTUS is practicing Balkanization.
LaRaza has a goal of creating a Utopian Wurker's Paradise with the conquest of Aztlan.
I ve heard a little of some group with a similiar sounding name
But what troubles me is that many see that having loosely policed
borders is not a problem.
Just remember we are heading the same route as the Balkanization
theory goes. Any of you against this law in Areizona know a thing
about Balkanization??
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Yes you have valid points there -case in point is a book I read
that came out late 1990s called:
Civil War II - The Coming Breakup of America by Thomas Chittum,
where some aspects of Balkanization may be coming to fruition
in our country. Mr. Chittum argues that the U.S.A will
"Balkanize" into at least three ethnic groups and that the
consequences for stability would be grave.
Based upon numerous articles I've read out of the Arizona Republic lately, the biggest concerns of Arizonan's is financial.
Thank you you covered wide amount of details, agree with
you. Especially with the fact that the monetary burden has
exceeded the cost of "serving" the illegals. Im not
Sorry, I don't mean to sound so pessimistic. Someday, I believe the American people will wake up, and they will see these people for what they truly are: power hungry tyrants with no ethics, no morals, and no loyalties other than to their lust for power and greed. And I hope that when the time comes to finally kick the weasels to the curb, we can do it without violence, and in a civilized, democratic way.
- - - - - - - - -- - - - - --
Dont worry Charman Im not one of the ones that need to do
that I saw tha fallacy of our two party system and the corruption
that BOTH parties get involved in many yrs ago. I've been
preaching to many hear and other forums when I get the
the time. There is a subtantial group of our citiziens who have
woken up, but there is the largest populace that are still
indoctrinated with CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and smiliar MSM outlets.
Hmmm I ‘m not sure if I will comment right away on this topic as there seems
To result in name-calling. OK ---about you statement --- our military keeps them free.
Well as a conservative I wish to retain a strong military and yet as a liberty-loving
Individual I abhor the influence of both Democratic and Republican parties in our political system.
Still to your comment I answer with this tidbit of news regarding the Patriot Act:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35571223/ns/politics-capitol_hill
Tell me again is this what is keeping us free? I did’nt vote for Dubya nor for
Obama but we Rapidly see that Obama is carrying on the same policies of Dubya.
God will bless America, when America returns to God.
Well I can see a lot of tempers flare on this topic
hey slim2ho ive read your posts for some time
I'm sure you have seen my commentaries also.
You have to laugh though had how distracted,
and non-focused people are. Its like many
have said they have been "dumbed-down".
Its gotten worse over the past 15-20 yrs, as
some people don't care to be knowledgeable
with their Constitution, Bill of Rights, upholding
our personal freedoms and providing for
a decent way of life of life in our country.
They just don't care - - and frankly speaking.
Its all going to get much worse -- irregardless
of what the Dem/Repub Marketing Company says
per their Prez Election campaigns
eyeheartcny, I agree with your view with exception of
terrorist. Please define -it has been convoluted with
all kinds of terminology with the politicians.
Its quite a tragic event and I don't agree with the guy's
reaction to intrusive Federal Gov't by crashing a plane.
OTOH, there are quite a sizable amount of our citizens
that are p****-off with our government. I beleive that
incidents as such are reflective of our fellow citizens
who have seen their financial place in America society erode
OR get tottallly wiped. Frankly, it doesnt suprise me
and I am confident we will see many more of these yet
as some will act in this fashion due to the disconnect
with our "elected" officials in Washington and their
constituents. The issue at hand is to clean house
of INCOMPETENT AND IMMORAL politicians; I've railed
against these NO-BRAIN DEms & Repubs for many years
in the Syracuse.com blogs to no avail.
Lets face it folks THE SYSTEM IS BROKE WE NEED
A AN ALTERNATIVE PARTY to the DEM-REPUB party!!!
Bearing in mind this event, I see this incident as
evidence of our failed political system.
Will Barclay is a good man - I don't always agree with him on the issues, but I think he would do a fine job in DC as part of the upstate delegation.""
Listen friend how do you knoW he (Barclay) will be a good
man +2, +3 years from now. He probably will not be-----as he
will be tainted be the Republikkan Machine. Frankly, both parties HAVE TO GO I HAVE "HARPED" ON THESE BOARDS
MANY TIMES to no avail -- please understand the SYSTEM IS BROKE there is no alternative in the typical "lets vote them
out and get someone else" philosophy. Don't insult intelligence of
a growing number of CNY and local citizens who are sick and tired
of the same Republikkan & Demoncrat Machines.
ITS HIGH TIME THAT WE TRASH THEM!!!
I don't care one way or another as I don't live in
Skan, yet I have to question Green's true motives.
If he gets the job - -good luck to him.
OTOH, I surmise based on talking with a few and looking
at past news he is a manipulator that may be
focused on improving his image towards future
political aspirations. Furthermore, if I was
a political leader I would certainly watch my
back with him - - he quite possibly may backstab
someone at first opportunity. This evident in
this older news:
http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2007/09/report_green_still_considers_r.html
quote:
"Whichever party wants to champion those causes, then that's where
I want to be," Green said in February.
I may pose the question whose causes are they for? For party leadership
or Tim's career goals?
Initially I had (false) hope that he would bring the
"change" that he so proposed - yet we are still
in Iraq and Afghan/Pakis/-stan and now in
Yemen and Somalia. Meanwhile trillions are spent
while our once world-class economy is reduced to
shambles. Oh my, my my!!!!!!!
Dribble please elaborate what is "only good one" ???
There are many people in Afghanistan that are happy that the US and other places have fought for their basic rights. Our soldiers go over there to protect the lives of others. This is a war on terrorist not on the every day people. You would know the difference if you knew some who is over there."
Friend, while I don't mind our country helping other nations that are in need economically or
militarily, as long as the cause is just and fortright. I do not see that evidence here.
BTW read again what I said above this is INDEED A BOGUS "WAR ON TERROR" it is the
typical prescription for individuals as yourself who have a sickness of "them ___blank___"
or "those damn Middle Eastern _______blah, blah (fill in your own slang)__".
Per your comments of knowing someone -In addition my uncle was a WW II veteran who
fought in the Pacific - - he suffered badly from WAR FATIGUE , his mind in fact
operated like a 12yr old child. Also my wife's cousin has a husband 30-35 yr old range who
serves in Middle East - so don't give me some rubbish about not knowiing
someone who has served.
Very sad and violent escalation. Truly a waste of time and the lives
of the soldiers that Bush=Obama=Bush=Obama ....have sent
over their for a bogus "war on Terror"
thanks Tanman you make good points BUT PLEASE
IS THERE A REASON FOR CAPITAL LETTERS- JUST
WONDERING ?????????????????
And further, our so called public education system(K-12) is a joke...."
for the most part I agree with you -Ive known some from
children's friends and church members, I can vouch for the
fact that this so-called graduates of our K-12 system have been
robbed of a decent education. In essence , this is a contributing
factor for our country's continual slide into 'DUMBDOWN"
thinking ability.
slim there is some truth in that re: coll degree for what I've
experienced and seen first-hand its apparent that in many
govt sector jobs a 4yr degree is not at all req'd. Furthermore, there
are these same jobs that would'nt even mention a masters degree.
The dynamics of our economy has altered the dreams of middle-
class Americans who strived to get a bachelor's degree , and yet
are marginalized by the "serf-conciousness" in the NEW ECONOMY
you say what : Islamic extremists??
The Republican Party is dying ........ likes of Joanie Mahoney .....
The Tea Party has shown that we need to get control back of our government....
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - -
You bring interesting point here to debate, I'm not
a Dem or Repub voter for quite a number of years
so I don't know if the demise of the Republican Party
is at our door. What is troubling to me AS A CITIZEN AND
A LONG-TIME TAXPAYER is the money and resources that have been
squandered in our CNY community, our city Syracuse and NY State.
To compound this situation is the fact that there has been poor to
adequate planning in remedying our: state budgetary problems,
our economic viability, our standard of living and an environment
of honesty and responsibility in government.
I ‘d like the to think the Tea Party is a step in the right direction, but
When I see that Sara Palin, a Republican stooge appearing on
The Tea Party’s platforms, I have to wonder. If the Tea Party has been
infiltrated by political hacks and Republican “carpetbaggers” such as
Palin who view the Tea Party as an opening to utilize the hopes of people
and then it is evident to see they intend to use such a party justify their
general acceptance by a wider voting public
