I've opened comments up on this story as folks thought we were dodging any discussion. Actually, we thought you might want to see what was already being said on this other post. There are some comments already over on this item, "We're remodeling your place: About the new al.com homepage [http://blog.al.com/al/2012/05/about_the_new_alcom_homepage.html] I get it. It's probably wrong to tell you where to have your conversation about your web site. Thanks for reading and for commenting.

Posted on Al.com to unveil major new look for its homepage on May 20, 2012, 12:47PM

We appreciate everyone weighing in on our upcoming changes. We will be working particularly hard to use our photos in the best way possible and yes, sometimes, we'll choose not to display particular pictures on the homepages. (Gigantic criminal mugshots, anyone?)

Other pages of the site will get a makeover in the coming weeks, by the way, along with other improvements across the summer.

We'll roll this new home page out very early on Wednesday morning and we want you all to stay in touch and in the conversation on how we can make it better.
