I'm a sports reporter who most recently covered Syracuse University football for Clear Channel Syracuse (620 WHEN & 570 WSYR). I will also cover the NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Frozen Four in Lake Placid on March 19 & 20 for the Post-Standard.
I attended SUNY Oswego where I majored in Broadcasting- Mass Communications. I was also the Voice of the Lakers (VOTL) from 2007-2009 on 88.9 FM WNYO Oswego. It was during this time that I created TheVOTL.com, then known as the WNYO Sports Blog. Upon leaving Oswego, I took the blog with me. Former Syracuse Chief Brent Bowers resigns after alleged homophobic outburst

Former Syracuse Chiefs outfielder Brent Bowers resigned as manager of the Edmonton Capitals on Saturday, a week after allegedly hurling gay slurs at an openly-gay umpire in the independent Golden Baseball League. Oswego State forward Eric Selleck has signed a contract with the NHL's Florida Panthers, a source close to the team told TheVOTL.com today. Selleck, the 2010 runner-up for the Sid Watson Award, departs SUNY Oswego after just two seasons in the green and gold.
