Does anyone remember Frances beauty salon? Next door was Luggi's pizza, on the opening day he didn't have a meatgringer, I had to run home and borrow my mothers. Luggi then moved to Valley drive, after the Elmwood liquor store moved into his old place. I think the Swallows was next to that. Hard to remember all the names now.

I am new to "Remembering Elmwood" blog. I remember the Elmwood theatre,when hurricane Hazel hit and blew the marque down, the movie that was playing was "Gone with the wind". I can tell you all about the "tunnel', we used to lower our bikes down to the tunnel, ride them through to the end that came out on Onondaga Blvd., hand the bike up to the road and ride back to Elmwood to Harry's for a cherry coke and listen to the juke box. Also had cokes at Southside pharmacy, the owner was a good friend of Uncle Paul at the Elmwood theatre.
