Sean and all the bloggers---Mariann is home and resting,she said she is very sore and tired and was going to bed. She was up all night with the hourly checks,(you know the ones where they wake you up every hour and then tell you to sleep)
I'm sure she will be back posting soon.

Sorry,I thought you knew.Mariann had heart surgery today and it went well.

Update on Mariann-------Mariann's son Joe just sent this:
Mariann's surgery went well according to her doctor.
She is resting in her room and is alert.
Joe will update us when he has more news and when she will be discharged.

As soon as I have more I will post it.

cuse69---Sorry it took so long to post,it would not let me sign in until now.
At 2:00 it is 111.5 and should go to about 115 around 4-4:30. Humidity is 24%,a little higher than usual,but it is monsoon season here. I'm going back in the water,later.

Sean,
Even though I don't live in NY anymore,I will give you my opinion anyways. I think the blue and gold is too old,they stand out too much and clash with the car's colors. Back in 1962 when I started driving,thats the only choice we had.I still remember my first plates,8605OD. Funny, I can't remember last week,but back when your 16 it's pretty important.

nanato5--The weather here has been a little crazy,up and down.Usually the temps are in the high 80's and low 90's in May,plus throw in a few 100's.This May we have had many days with lows in the 50's and highs in the 70's and low 80's,with terrible winds up to 50 mph at times.We have not been in the pool yet this year.Every other year we were swimming in April. On another note, the humidity is only 8 to 10%.
We really can't complain though,we could be living in the Gulf or Nashville.

HAPPY SUPER BOWL SUNDAY everyone
Who is everybody rooting for?
Are you staying home or going to a party or your local pub ?
What's on the menus ?
Sandy and I are staying home with a bunch of finger food.

ghettoguy---Weather here is real wet,rained on and off all day yesterday.We have about 2 1/2 inches so far this year.The average rainfall for the year is just under 4 inches,so we are well on our way.Last years total was about 1 3/4 inches.Temps have been---Lows in the low 40's and the Highs in the mid 60's.

Yes,I miss haddock,so you enjoy it every week for me.

Saam and pkwy---I remember Centore's very well also.I used to shop there often for Farrah slacks,loved them. Also remember Charney's and Bond's.

I never used chains but I had studded tires.

It's been cool here in Vegas and wet.Last week,Tue-Wed-Thur we received 1.7 inches of rain compared to last years total of 1.69 inches,yes 1.69 total for the whole year of 2009. last year was really dry,the average is just under 4 inches yearly.

Gotta go watch the game.

How about a weather check around the country?
Here in Vegas it's been cool,lows around 38 and highs around 68. I wish it was warmer but compared to back east,I can't complain.
How is the rest of the country?

Enrico's Restaurant's founder passed away 12/20,he was 98. the notice was in the Syr. Obits on 12/26.
I'm sure everyone on here knew him or Enrico's.
